After school in Kazakhstan
The ordinary Kazakhstan Attestat is not accepted. An approved qualification and the course-specific subject results are needed; do not assume any foundation course is automatically sufficient.

Admission tests and subjects depend on the course. SAT alone does not replace an unaccepted school qualification.
Language and proficiency
IELTS Academic 7.5, at least 7.0 in each component. TOEFL taken from 21 January 2026 is not accepted at the time of checking; earlier tests have separate conditions.

Not published in this guide: comparable statistics for the chosen programme and international-applicant category have not been verified. A university-wide admission rate must not be treated as an individual Kazakhstan applicant’s probability.

Tuition and full budget
For 2027 entry use the course-specific Overseas fee, not the UK Home fee. Oxford estimates 2027 living costs at GBP 1,475–2,175 per month; tuition is separate.
Funding and obligations
Funding eligibility depends on the scholarship, citizenship and course. Home-student government support must not be assumed for an applicant from Kazakhstan.

1. Choose a University of Oxford programme and confirm that your qualification is eligible. 2. Check subject and language requirements in the official source. 3. Prepare translated school documents and the required results. 4. Work out the full budget and check any separate funding application before submitting. 5. Apply under your intake rules, then check offer conditions and visa requirements.
Illustrative example — hypothetical scenario
Hypothetical scenario: a Kazakhstan school leaver with an ordinary Attestat and strong IELTS considers Oxford. They first discover that the qualification is not accepted and investigate an approved additional qualification for the course. Subject-selection preparation follows the qualification check. Another English test alone does not solve eligibility.
