After school in Kazakhstan
An ordinary Kazakhstan High School Certificate does not by itself qualify for direct admission: NTU requires an additional listed qualification. NIS Grade 12 is a separate category requiring A grades in all examined subjects; do not conflate the two credentials.
Admission tests
For an ordinary school certificate, the additional route uses at least three AP tests with a combination of grades 4 and 5, or the specified A levels. Required subjects depend on programme; SAT does not replace this qualification. Engineering and most sciences require AP Calculus BC.
Language and proficiency
For non-English-medium schooling or ESL/EAL: IELTS Academic 6.5, Writing/Speaking ≥6.5; TOEFL 90/120 with Writing/Speaking ≥25, or the new 4.5/6 scale with Writing/Speaking ≥4.5. TOEFL/IELTS must be within two years before the deadline; other listed tests may also qualify.

Tuition and full budget
2026 example for All Other International Students, including Kazakhstan: the general programme row is SGD 21,400/year with MOE Tuition Grant. Without it, lab-based programmes are SGD 40,600 and non-lab programmes SGD 36,350. Business, Medicine and other listed exceptions have separate rates. Living and insurance are additional.
Funding and obligations
Check undergraduate scholarships and MOE obligations separately. A scholarship does not establish that a related tuition grant has no work obligation.

1. Choose a Nanyang Technological University programme and confirm that your qualification is eligible. 2. Check subject and language requirements in the official source. 3. Prepare translated school documents and the required results. 4. Work out the full budget and check any separate funding application before submitting. 5. Apply under your intake rules, then check offer conditions and visa requirements.

Hypothetical scenario: a candidate from Kazakhstan considers NTU Singapore. They first check their qualification row and any additional qualification, then language and subject requirements. Their IELTS/TOEFL target comes from the applicable category rather than graduate rules. They separately assess the budget and grant obligations.
